collage i've been working on for a pretty long time. drawn over the span of at least a year and a half.

the text in the top right reads: "i've lost you now but i guess you were never that important to me anyway. right? no. i'm done lying to myself. but i really don't see why i gave such a damn. i guess i just felt like i was finally connecting with someone... what a fool i was."

and on the bottom, under the cake and cupcake it says: "anarchy. establishment." repeated.

made it for my cousin
hope you like it :meow:

really? i've always been kind of self-conscious about this piece of work because it means so much to me.... what do you think is the best part of it?

Well, I like the design. The elements of art are coming together nicely. The colors are great, but I like how they are balanced by the large black and white star and the darker colorless negatives, and what looks like a b/w photo in the lower right hand corner, helps keep the colors from being too dominant and overpowering the other elements. The text also helps offset the strong colors, and adds interest to parts that might otherwise seem empty. (plus i have a thing for text) I guess without going too further in depth, the contrast between geometric and curvilinear shapes, small and large shapes, helps add to the unity and overall balance. Great work. Nothing to feel self conscious about. Cheers!

:boogie: thanks a bunch! i've always loved this piece... and i'm really glad i finished it. was pretty much a two or three year project that i picked up whenever i was feeling creative... it actually started out as a doodle, then went to long-term doodle, then... well... this :giggle:

If I had the money, I would buy a print of this immediately. Simply amazing.

that guy is CRAZY talented. the kind of talented that i could never even begin to relate to.
my cousin is the same way. her doodles look like things i could spend WEEKS obsessing over.
